Cater 2 U

So, I found an old memory card that I use to use for a camera that I once owned. The photos that I found on it were very interesting. All of them from from my Lathrup days (boo), except for a few. One thing I personally enjoyed was a silly video I made with a few friends. We were bored and parked in a Krispy Kreme parking lot. This is what ensued. My rendition of "Cater 2 U" by Destiny's Child.

Dreams: Dancing

I've been doing a lot of thinking about this. I'm not quite sure why it's been on my mind, nor am I sure why I can't shake this thought.

Ever since I was a young kid, I've wanted to dance. For as far as I can remember, dancing, and the love of music, has been in my spirit. I wonder why I've never made any strides toward becoming a member of a dance crew or something. Presently, I may not be able to move like Shane Sparks or Wade Robson, but I certainly believe that I have the capacity to learn. I like to think that I'm kinesthetically blessed. Thinking in retrospect, I've always had a "knack" for dancing and movement. I remember myself, as a kid, running around the house, jammin' to MC Hammer, Prince, Michael Jackson, or whomever else my Mom or Aunt had on. I've always danced at parties, clubs, and family gatherings. Rhythm based gaming has been in my life for years... Shoot, I knew how to do five renditions of the hustle before I turned 11. It really perplexes me as to why I've never acted on this. I feel like I should make it a priority.

New Kids On The Block...Fo' real!?!?

I'm speechless! I was looking for new music on iTunes and realized that "New Kids On The Block" is releasing a new album. Here's the kicker: it's not what you would expect from them. They've shed their old persona; eliminated the old skool, boy band, 90's demeanor. These are grown men. Look at the transformation:

New Kids On The Block - Summertime

Shocking, right? I had to pick my mouth up off the floor. Where did all this soul come from? LOL. It's nice to see groups like this still around. Perhaps they can give some tips to these wannabe, one hit wonder, cookie cutter, artists. NKOTB's new CD drops a week from today: Sep 2nd. You can pre-order it on iTunes, just like I did.
